January 3 , 2005 The Club at Carlton Woods, a six-court facility located in the prestigious Carlton Woods sub-division in The Woodlands, TX, received national recognition at the annual meeting of the American Sports Builders' Association (ASBA, formerly the US Tennis Court & Track Builders' Association). Designed and built by Trans Texas Tennis, Ltd.., the facility features six championship-level post-tension concrete courts, Laykold surface, black vinyl fence, windscreens, RLS lighting, shade shelters between courts, and Bolletieri practice wall. Other club amenities include a full-service pro shop, fitness area, grill, and club locker rooms. Joe Snailum, club manager and tennis director, worked closely with Trans Texas Tennis in the design of the facility. The award exemplifies recognition of "best practices" in tennis facility design and construction by other professionals in the sports construction industry. << Back
