Many owners are faced with hard decisions whether to rebuild or resurface older
tennis courts that were poorly designed and/or constructed. Resurfacing courts
with structural cracks and severe drainage problems merely by filling cracks and
trying to level birdbaths is a band-aid approach, and does not address the real problems.
Totally demolishing the courts and starting from scratch is very expensive, and may not
be necessary.
Trans Texas Tennis has pioneered and perfected a method of reconstructing
poorly build and/or designed courts utilizing a post-tension concrete overlay system.
This method of reconstruction offers many unique advantages.
- Eliminates the need to remove, load, haul, and dispose of existing asphalt or concrete.
- Corrects slope deficiencies.
- Provides a post-tension concrete base that will be structurally sound for the life of the concrete.
- Minimizes any cracking due to the post-tensioning method of reinforcement.
- Gives a sound base for the application of the court surfacing system.
- Incorporates existing fence, if possible, to further reduce costs.
- Reduces disturbance to the existing site and surrounding areas.
The post-tension overlay system eliminates the need to experiment with elastomeric or rubberized crack fillers,
epoxy injections, slip sheets, and fiberglass or geotextile overlays. Trans Texas Tennis will take
the headache out of reconstruction.
